Information we handle
ASOMACHI handles the names, meetup time and area, chosen location, device location you allow, clues, photos, messages and participation status needed for your meetup. Device location is requested when you use the location controls and grant permission.
Optional accounts
Signing in is optional and uses Clerk. Google sign-in uses your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile picture for authentication and account display. We do not request access to Gmail messages, contacts or Google Drive files. Your Clerk user ID links to your ASOMACHI display name, email language and profile in Cloudflare D1.
Purpose and sharing
We use information to run meetups, show distances and clues, deliver messages, save your memories, answer questions and prevent abuse. Participants see information according to the game progress and reveal settings. Direct messages are visible to their recipients; group messages are visible to participants. Invitation and personal recovery links carry access to join or control a meetup, so share them carefully. We do not sell personal information or use Google account data for advertising.
Saved memories and retention
Saved memories contain the meetup time and area, participant names, outcome and conversations visible to you, up to the latest 50 messages per conversation. They exclude coordinates, location history, photos, clues, detailed places and invitation or recovery tokens. Only meetups displaying the saving notice are eligible. Unsaved room data is scheduled for deletion 24 hours after the meetup ends. Location and clue access stops at the end, and photos are queued for deletion. Saved memories remain until you delete them.
Access, correction and deletion
You can change your display name and delete your memories on your account page. Deleting your account in account settings triggers a Clerk notification to delete your profile and saved memories. Minimal identifiers remain to retry deletion and prevent deleted records from being restored. Your deletion does not remove copies saved by other participants. Backups follow the infrastructure providers’ retention periods and may not reflect deletion immediately. Contact support for other access, correction or deletion requests; we may verify your identity.
Service providers
We use Cloudflare for hosting, storage and communication protection, Clerk and Google for authentication, and Google Groups for support email. These providers may process IP addresses and device information for delivery and security, including on servers outside your country. Opening a map sends OpenStreetMap your IP address and tile requests corresponding to the displayed map area.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies maintain meetup access and sign-in state; browser storage remembers language, time zone and analytics preferences. Only with your permission, Google Analytics measures homepage visits and button clicks. We do not send names, locations or chat content to analytics. You can play without analytics and change your choice through “Analytics preferences” on the homepage.
Authentication emails
Clerk and Resend deliver verification codes and new-device sign-in notifications. Delivery processes your email address, verification code, sign-in device, IP address, approximate region, time and, when available, a sign-out link. We do not send gameplay location or chat messages. Emails use the language selected after signing in, falling back to the authentication language when no preference is saved. Our database retains message identifiers, language and processing timestamps to prevent duplicate delivery, rather than email bodies or codes. Delivery providers retain their logs according to their own policies.
Changes and contact
Our contact is ASOMACHI Support. We use support messages and reply addresses to respond to enquiries. We update this page when the policy changes and announce important changes, including new purposes for data use, within the service.
